Meet Our Team

I’ve always been passionate about serving people. In fact, when I was first considering a career field I thought about social work, but instead I pursued law school. It didn’t take me long to realize that law could never replace my true passion of helping others heal, so I soon found myself back in school for my masters in social work, and I never looked back. It was my early work with high-risk children in low-income communities that exposed me to the depths of early childhood trauma. I soon developed my expertise as a trauma therapist, play therapist, and instructor, offering training at local, state, and national levels.

Very soon after, I started using EMDR. It was with EMDR that I started to see deep, accelerated change and since I began implementing it I’ve seen transformation in countless lives. EMDR is so effective that today, I only use EMDR in my practice. I have taught thousands of clinicians, and was one of the originators of the 5 Day Intensive EMDR Training. I am an EMDRIA approved instructor for our EMDR Training Course as well as various advanced courses such as Making EMDR Work!, EMDR and Children: Utilizing Play Therapy Techniques, and EMDR Refresher Course–and still a passionate, practicing therapist.

Roxanne Grobbel, J.D.. LCSW

Expertise: Emotional, physical, sexual abuse, PTSD and Complex PTSD, ego state interventions, addictions, first responders, sexual assault, religious trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Abandonment, Attachment Issues, Relationship issues, Domestic Violence/Abuse, Grief and Loss, Medical trauma, and narcissistic parents

When I think about the work I do as a trainer and as a therapist, for me it always comes back to helping people rediscover their true identity. I’ve personally and professionally experienced the power of EMDR, so sharing that power as a resource for others is deeply meaningful. Over the years, I have been dedicated to community education by offering workshops and trainings on critical issues like trauma-informed care, eating disorder prevention and awareness, attachment-focused parenting, and sexual abuse prevention. Today, I teach the EMDR Basic Training to therapists interested in adding EMDR to their practice, guiding them in their early stages of understanding this modality. I also see clients through EMDR Intensives, focusing on eating disorders, addiction, complex PTSD, first responders, sexual abuse survivors, mood disorders, developmental trauma, foster care, and adoption. Whether through guiding therapists new to EMDR or guiding my clients who are navigating their way through trauma, serving people in this way and equipping them with these tools changes lives and futures every day–something I will simply never tire of being a part of.

EMDRIA Approved Consultant & Trainer

Holly Fregin, LMHC

Expertise: Complex ptsd, sexual abuse, attachment wounds, ego state interventions, eating disorders, addictions, first responders, foster care and adoption, and religious trauma/ spiritual healing

My early work with children and understanding childhood experiences helped me better understand the root causes behind symptoms people of all ages are experiencing, and I see EMDR get to those root causes time and time again. I bring extensive experience in working with diverse populations and challenges such as First Responders, sexual abuse survivors, children, foster care, adoption, depression, anxiety, and complex PTSD. I have worked in both weekly and intensive therapy formats, helping individuals overcome significant histories of trauma. As an EMDR Trainer and Consultant, I offer a deep understanding of trauma-focused therapy, Attachment-Focused EMDR, and Parts Work. I bring all of this not just into my sessions with clients, but also into the education and guidance I can offer to other therapists in both training and consultation. In addition to training EMDR, I have also trained relationship-focused parenting courses and trauma-informed care in the community, and have a love for serving my community. Since I have seen the healing power of EMDR both personally and professionally, I believe putting these tools into the hands of more equipped therapists has the potential to change more lives than we can imagine.

EMDRIA Approved Consultant & Trainer

Mariana Caro, LCSW

Expertise: Foster Care and Adoption, Children and Play Therapy, First Responders, Attachment, Complex Trauma, Abuse Survivors (Physical, Emotional, and Sexual), PTSD and Complex PTSD, Religious Trauma, Ego State/Parts Work, Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss

As an educator, therapist and as a human being, I hold the belief that meaningful self-development happens when one is encouraged to explore their subconscious, gaining insight into their personal narratives and the balance between rational and irrational thoughts. My passion is to live, teach, and guide others in this journey of awareness. I am deeply committed to my role as a therapist specializing in Intensive EMDR Trauma work, creating a safe environment for clients to process their past experiences. I advocate passionately for vulnerable populations; sexual, physical and emotional abuse survivors, First Responders, Complex PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Amongst clients, trainees, colleagues, and friends, I am known for my empathetic, creative, and nonjudgmental approach, as well as my dedication to the well-being of my clients and students. My diverse and personal experiences fuel my commitment to healing. I am particularly enthusiastic about combining EMDR with Expressive Arts. This integration allows the individual to connect with their inner voice, explore irrational beliefs, and understand their behaviors and interpretations. I am excited to learn and adapt to better support those seeking guidance, whether they are individuals facing life's challenges or fellow therapists looking to grow.
